Some Facts About Business Education: What Happens When Reading a BBA-MBA?

BBA
BBA-MBA

The tide of business administration education or BBA-MBA in Bangladesh started mainly with the hands of private universities, although teaching on this subject started before independence.

This is was started by the MBA program at Dhaka University's Business Administration Institute or IBA, and it was through this that the concept of bringing business affairs into Bangladesh came under institutional study.

Twenty-five years after that, IBA started teaching business administration at the undergrad level through the BBA program in Year 4.  But now, like a doctor or an engineer, business administration has a great demand for education, whether its achievement or fault, let's say private universities.  The situation is now so much that it has become almost as important as passing the SAC in the job market, whether or not you have an idea of why you should take this degree.

Due to demand, many public universities like private universities have opened up business institutes, seats are increasing everywhere, and people from different professions, including doctors and engineers, are joining them to get an MBA, myself.

This degree, or study, does not have any cost, no matter how well spoken or communicated, call it communication and networking, there is no doubt that many of the techniques used in straightforward Bengal are taught, while at the same time, they are studied with a little enthusiasm.  It also makes the weirdo addicted to working with different people in a variety of professions, in a variety of sorts of ways, present-day stress.  The skills competition in the market does not in any way be ruled out.

At the same time, Michelle says of many things, that many are going to special studies in a particular field of study like finance, marketing, human resources or human resources management, management information system, the future is bright.  Important for the multinational companies or banks operating in Bangladesh, good domestic companies also do not want to be hired today without such BBA or MBA-waged fast workers.

However, different opinions can be obtained by talking about what the BBA or MBA program really is.  Most professional degrees are designed in a way that makes you a specialist or specialist in a "specific" subject.  Business administration is not the same.  Most of the topics taught here, such as finance, accounting, marketing, human resources, etc., have a 5-year undergrad course in universities, even in colleges under the national university, there are masters programs.  The purpose of the BBA, or MBA, is to create a "Jack of All Trades" with "basic" or "basic" ideas on all of these, and more, so that you don't fall from the sky when you look at a company's financial statement, or employees.  Don't eat the paycheck-bonus-holiday or work on any legal matters, and everyone from the company's chief executive to the worker  Can work with you.

Then, if you want to specialize in a specific subject, have your own job experience, have professional certifications like CFA, Six Sigma or ACCA, the MBA is just an "added value", that is, it will boil down to your core competencies, quite a bit of your ability.  Add some "points", you have to do the rest.  According to most IBA teachers, the program was opened so that young people of the country become entrepreneurs in the Western genre, but what ultimately stands out is the creation of trained staff for business organizations.  There is no denying that it is needed, as at one time almost all the high-ranking officials of the multinational companies of Bangladesh and a large part of the domestic institutions were run by foreigners, taking the place of Bangladeshi children now, and they are performing their duties very efficiently.

But entrepreneurship has not developed, hopefully, everyone entering the BBA or MBA only to secure a job or hope for promotion (admittedly, for my own sake, I have never had any interest or talent in the business, yet), and imagine that somehow an MBA.  It is possible to swim in the sea of money.  This kind of misconception that the Western world - and the reason for it is a headache - is understood in an article in Forbes Magazine, which is roughly titled - "Business School's Biggest 7 Lies".  The lies, or rather mithagulo?  Are they relevant to us?  I tried to understand it, and tried to explain it in roughly one translation of the article.

Meth -1
MBA will make you rich: The purpose of studying in business administration is to make money, and it is possible to make a business or a job, to make money, but not as fast as you may think, usually 2-4 times your estimated time.  It is normal to take longer.  So lower the expectations, move slowly, the money will come, but it's not like Hollywood movie stars.

 Meth -2
By doing MBA you are smarter than people who don't have this degree: This is probably the biggest misconception, especially in our country.  This degree will give you some leeway in your movement and communication, but it does not mean that those who do not have this degree are not your peers, or they are less smarter than you, because you do not speak or count English in your words.  Respect others, in the end, the legs will not move.

Meth -3
All questions have a "definitively correct" answer: Another problem that business graduates face (which is difficult for engineers too), is that they rely on a very mathematical model, leaving a "mathematical model" to solve that problem.  And judge everything with results.  The reality is that in the rapidly changing world of today, business uncertainty is so high that you can make "seemingly best" decisions based on the information you receive, but there are many alternatives, and those that are better than the decisions you make.  Maybe, it should always be kept in mind.

 Meth -4
Doing an MBA at an excellent institution guarantees you success: Although not completely wrong, it is not right at all.  This idea works especially with students from renowned institutions, Harvard for America, IBA for Bangladesh.  The praise of those who see it from the outside, the institutional pride of the teachers, the success of the alumni give such an idea.  It is true that the company's namedak may get you a job interview, and it will also help you to get a job in the field, but it is entirely up to you whether you will find success in that job.  Its name is business, everything is measured in terms of profit and loss, in this difficult world, paper certificates or emotions are not worth it.

 Meth -5
Since you have done an MBA, you know better than the old people in the organization: the accusation is almost done by the traditional people, the new kids are more jovial, we have been working here for so many years, we still do not like it,  He came and started catching us all wrong.  Of course, you can do better than them, but any organization has its own rules and culture.  Stay locked in the face for months, get to know the organization and the people, you will have plenty of time to show your appreciation.

 Meth -6
Measuring Revenue With Discounted Cash Flow: This beeper went a little technical, explaining in detail how to write another post, to put it very briefly, how much profit can a business have in the future if opening a new business?  And whether it be more or less than the current investment, one of the calculations is the discounted cash flow.  According to the author of the original article, this is of little use, because it is understandable that in the current age, the amount of variables (variables) in business is so high and uncertain - and so foolish, that it is basically an academic variable to try to understand the profitability of business.  It's better to leave.

 Meth -7
"Soft" courses, such as leadership and management courses, are of no importance: "Soft" courses were a bit alarming to explain, because "soft" does not mean soft.  You can predict, of course, the courses that you cannot directly relate to your subject, and the content of those courses is not exactly mathematical, quantitative, or quantitative, but rather "abstract" or qualitative, which means that you cannot measure exactly numbers (for example).  : 5k better leader than Rahim Karim, so you can't tell), they are called "soft" courses.
Naturally, any of these students have the usual disdain for these courses, who are keen on business, business, marks, money, leadership, human traits, motivations, motivations, inspirations!  During my MBA, I have spent 2 hours sleeping in a management course.  What is interesting, though, is that almost all the training of top executives of a company is either on "leadership" or "management", because business means people;  Not just some sum of numbers.  People have to do business with people, so "leadership" or leadership qualities are essential here.  Examples?  Not Steve Jobs?

 Meth -8
An MBA will make you a creative entrepreneur: Quite wrong, the context has also come to the forefront of writing.  Rather, experience shows that business schools are slowing down their creativity by trapping some mathematical models and rules.  The MBA will teach you many strategies, but not how to start a business, you have to start it yourself, the techniques learned in the MBA may simplify your routine work, and getting acquainted there may add some "clients" to you.  Will give

 Meth -9
Your classmates' advice will show you the path to success: If you want to go the traditional route, that's fine, because most BBA or MBA students go to the Goddalika stream.  In Bangladesh, my observation says that most BBA or MBA students aim to get into a multinational company or a foreign bank, and since your seniors or classmates are in them, it is not difficult to get in.  But if you want to live your dream of building a career like yours, you have to listen to your mind, not others.

 Meth -10
Having an MBA at a renowned institution is more successful than other MBAs: the context has come before.  Studying at a large institution will certainly provide some benefits in the beginning, maybe get a job, but then it's entirely up to you.  Rather, MBAs in large organizations are more likely to be victims of the previous 5 meth.  Enron CEO Jeff Skilling was also an MBA at Harvard, his CV absolutely gold-bound, but his name must be remembered for one of the biggest failures in Earth's history.  So beware of saints!

What has been said so far, its purpose is not to discourage those doing or wanting to do a BBA or MBA, but rather to write about how they can come up with specific goals, what they are doing, why they are doing, and how to prepare for graduation.  This is probably the purpose of the original author (who is also a successful business graduate).

When you go to work after your academic studies, everything else looks different, but if you are mentally prepared for the changing situation, it becomes normal at times.  Any business school is a great learning place, if you want to get enough supplies for the future, be it a job or a business.  Just don't think about yourself in advance, the world is a hard place, uncertainty-and, keep your feet on the ground, maybe one day they will reach you in the sky.  Good luck to everyone.
